It Was Never Your Voice to Begin With

We are born without an inner critic. The voice that tells you that you are not enough, that you must perform to be loved, that you must hide your true feelings to be safe—that voice was installed by a world that didn’t know how to hold your vastness.

When we do the inner work, we aren’t destroying a part of ourselves. We are simply returning a voice to its rightful owners, and finally making space to hear our own.
